We pleased to say that work on our long-awaited Acheninver Path project is to start later this week (Thursday 18th/Friday 19th July).
As part of the Coigach Assynt Living Landscape Project (CALLP), led by CCDC, this work is being funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and EB Scotland. Keith Mackey of Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland (OATS) is Project Manager while Andy Taylor of ACT Heritage Ltd will be leading the team doing the work on site. We are anticipating he contractors will be working until the end of August. During this period you may still use the path but be aware there will be contractors on site and minor diversions may be necessary.
CCDC is looking forward to the path being a major asset to our community and an attraction to the many visitors to Coigach who enjoy exploring the magnificent environment in which we live. CCDC is grateful to Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT), as the lead partner of CALLP, for the assistance it is giving to make this project a reality
