As part of the Highlands and Islands Climate Festival, and as a celebration on completing our first growing season at the Keder houses, we decided to hold a Big Local Picnic along at Acheninver on Saturday 30th September, which turned out to be as lovely an autumn day as you could wish for. Steve cooked up bacon and halloumi rolls in the shed, and tea, coffee and cake were on the go all morning. For the kids (and a few of the adults!) there was a climate-themed treasure hunt which ran through the croft from the Keder houses, into woodland and down to the sea.
Thanks to everyone who came along and made such a memorable event and to the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub for funding the event!
