We couldn’t let this event pass without marking it somehow. CCDC Directors and Staff send their condolences to the Old Drill Hall Trustees, Coigach Heritage, Coigach Kitchen and Scottish Wildlife Trust who have all lost archives, equipment, premises, and dreams for the future.
There are so many shared memories from this building stretching back over a century, and through generations of Coigach residents.
We were all devastated to see the blaze, and the remains of the building the following morning. The shock will take a while to settle.
Still, this isn’t the first time we have recovered from loss as a community, and although fond memories are being shared, there is one eye on the future and the next chapter in Coigach’s story.
