CCDC are seeking a Managing Director
Do you have the knowledge and skills to lead and deliver a forward-thinking strategy in a local community setting? Does developing and delivering a pipeline of projects centred on affordable housing, alongside local transport, home energy community food growing and other emerging local priorities sound like a challenge you could use your talents and experience to tackle? If so, this exciting opportunity to lead the Coigach Community Development Company (CCDC) through a period of ambitious growth and development could be for you.
Established in 2010 to deliver sustainable development for the community of Coigach, we have achieved numerous successes to date, mostly notably the construction of a community owned wind turbine, which provides a healthy income stream for investment in our community. This new role will report directly to CCDC’s Board of Directors and be responsible for the line management of CCDC’s two part time Local Development Officers (LDOs) and contractors engaged for specific project delivery. The post will also work closely with CCDC’s partners, including many local organisations, and across the wider community.
Candidates will have demonstrable experience in a strategic, leadership role. You will have proven ability in managing significant budgets and developing successful funding bids, and be committed to ensuring the continuous improvement of the organisation. A passion for securing positive change for local communities is essential, and you will be adept at building positive relationships with the local community and other key partners and stakeholders. A good understanding of the relevant sectors, and a background in developing community led projects is essential.

Job Title: Managing Director
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 pro-rata (based on experience), working 21 hours – 28 hours per week
Contract: Three years
Location: CCDC’s office at the Coigach Community Hall with hybrid working from home also
permissible, with flexibility offered for the right candidate.
